Our God:
God the FatherOne God
God the Son in three persons,
God the Holy Spirita blessed trinity.

We Believe In:

God the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son,
our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he arose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of
God the Father almighty.
From there he shall come to judge
the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit.
We believe the holy catholic (universal) church,
the communion of the saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.

Our Faith:

FFallen Humankind
All people are born sinful and need salvation.
We call this total depravity.
A - Adopted by God
We have become the adopted children of
God. This is not by our own choosing.
Rather, it is God who chose us. We call this
unconditional election.
I - Intentional Atonement
Our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ,
intentionally sacrificed himself to pay the
price for the redemption of those God chose
to save. We call this limited atonement.
T - Transformed by the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit who dwells within all believers
instructs and empowers them to follow the
example of Jesus. We call this irresistible
grace.
H - Held by God
Nothing can ever separate us from the love of
God in Jesus Christ.  God holds us in his all
powerful hands!  We call this the
perseverance of the saints.

Our History:

First Christian Reformed Church, or Bellone as we affectionately call ourselves, was established in 1927.  Ten different pastors have served us since our beginning in 1927.  Bellone was started by a small group of people, primarily Dutch immigrants, who desired to have their own place of worship in the Bellflower area.  God was faithful to us throughout the years and many more members joined, more programs were started and Bellone continued to thrive.  In 2002 Bellone celebrated its 75th anniversary.  God used First Christian Reformed Church of Bellflower to start many other churches.  We have birthed so many new churches that quite a few people call us "Ma Bell."  We are a church of today with a very rich heritage and we praise God for his faithfulness through many years!
